Oakland 2018 Registration

Welcome to the 2018 ISO of COSA Annual Convention and Delegate Registration.

The dates of this year's ISO of COSA Convention is May 25 - 28, 2018 with the Annual Delegate Meeting will be held on May 25, 2018.

The Annual Delegate Meeting and Convention will be held at The Washington Inn. For more details on the hotel, please check out the Hotel Information page.

Convention Registration Prices
Full Convention Registration Options:
Early Bird Registration by April 1, 2018 - $175 (fee includes Saturday lunch and Sunday dinner).
Early Registration by May 10, 2018 - $190 (fee includes Saturday lunch and Sunday dinner).
Onsite Registration for full convention - $200 (no meals included).

Day Only Registration Options:
Early Registration Saturday day rate by May 10, 2018 - $100 (includes Saturday lunch).
Early Registration Sunday day rate by May 10, 2018 - $100 (include Sunday dinner).
Onsite Registration Saturday day rate - $100 (no meal included).
Onsite Registration Sunday day rate - $100 (no meal included).

Additional Meals for guests:
Saturday lunch by May 10, 2018 - $60 .
Sunday dinner by May 10, 2018 - $60 .

 

The Convention and Delegate Registration process:

  1. Click the "Register Now" button at the bottom of this page.
  2. Use this form to register even if you are NOT serving as a delegate. Simply skip the delegate portion of the form.
  3. Complete the Convention and Delegate Registration Form and click the "Next" button at the bottom of the registration form.
  4. Add items to your shopping cart: Convention Registration Fee, Delegate Registration Fee (if applicable), Additional Sunday Banquet meals (if interested), Scholarship Donations (if interested), and Logo items (tote bag and/or polo shirt, if interested).  After you add your first item to shopping cart, you'll need to click "You can continue browsing here" to return to the main shopping page. The link is towards the bottom of the page in small type.
  5. Check out and pay balance.
  6. You are now registered for the 2018 Convention and/or Annual Delegate Meeting. You will receive various emails related to your registration and the upcoming Convention/Delegate Meeting. See you in Oakland!

It is only after these steps are completed in this order, that you will be registered as a Convention Registrant (and Delegate Registrant, if applicable) for the 2018 ISO of COSA Annual Convention.

**NOTE: Early Bird Registration fees and Early Registration fees include Saturday lunch and Sunday dinner.

Our refund policy is as follows: You may receive a refund by check of your registration fee if notification is received by the end of pre-registration (May 15 for online registration; May 10 postmark for by-mail hard copy registrations). There is a non-refundable $25 administrative fee; if you cancel by the stated deadline your entire payment minus $25 will be returned. Payment for additional meals is also refundable until the order and payment deadlines (see above).

 

Scholarships
We are pleased to offer a limited number of full and half scholarships. Each recipient is required to pay a portion of the cost of the registration and volunteer a minimum of four hours for service at the convention.

If you are in need of a scholarship:

  1. When completing the Convention and Delegate Registration form, please select one of the service scholarship options (I require a 50% scholarship or I require a 100% scholarship) as well as the checkbox by the acknowledgment statement related to the administrative fee.
  2. Click the "Next" button at the bottom of the registration form.
  3. From the “Items for Shopping Cart” page, select the Service Scholarship Fee for the scholarship you are requesting 
  4. Checkout and pay for Shopping Cart items (this includes the scholarship portion).

Should your plans change, you are entitled to a refund minus $25 which is non-refundable. Refund requests need to be made by May 15.

If the scholarship fund is not able to cover your scholarship, you will be notified via email with further instructions.

 

For Delegates (Delegate Registration Deadline is May 10th)

The Board has approved a Delegate Registration fee of $63 for those attending this year’s Annual Meeting in person. Here's how the costs break down:

We have 20 slots for COSA delegates who cannot attend this year's Annual Delegate Meeting in Oakland, CA in person, to attend virtually via video conference.

We will be using a video conferencing service via the internet.

The Board has approved a Delegate Registration fee of $19 for those attending this year’s Annual Meeting via Zoom video conferencing. Space is limited to 20 video conference attendees. First come, first served. We have never used all 20 slots. Here's how the costs break down:


If you are signed up to attend via Zoom you must:


Delegates who participate via video conference will have full voice and full voting privileges as long as they are present for both the discussion and the vote on the topic. We will discuss the protocol on how to participate on the test day.

On the day of the Annual Delegate Meeting, you will see the Chair and the other Zoom delegates on your monitor. If you are using a phone, you should have access to unlimited data or Wi-Fi. This will not matter with a computer. You will receive an information packet outlining proposals and the schedule of the day. That will be e-mailed to you.
