Jennifer describes her childhood and how she learned that she could not rely on others. In adulthood, she had a series of relationships with emotionally unavailable men. When she came to recovery, she decided that she would rather have serenity than revenge. She thought recovery would be about having fewer problems, but realized that recovery gave her more tools to respond to problems. Jennifer gave this talk in a time of upheaval and uncertainty in her life. The immediacy and intensity comes through in the recording.
