Dixie T. began her recovery journey 6 years ago after admitting she was powerless over her life and her husband’s addiction. Realizing she could not live this way any longer, she was determined to do “whatever it took” to get her life back. It was in recovery that she realized she had her own dysfunctions, and found out how much denial she had been in for all her life about any family of origin issues. It has not been an easy road to recovery, but the rewards, intimacy, peace and serenity she has gained have been so worth it.
